Yeah, animals can't read cartridge head stamps, so they don't know what they are supposed to do when they're hit. You just to let the air out of them and hope for the best.

What I find interesting about the 35 Whelan is the ease of using ‘06 brass to make it. I think it would be great if Ruger chambered it in the American II, and put good iron sights on it for backup.

Interesting that your Zebra ran a bit. Mine absorbed a solid hit from a 308W, and ended up taking another, at which point it reared up on two legs and fell over dead.

I bought a copy of the book. I found it extremely entertaining and informative. It’s a great one to just pick up and start reading a random chapter.
